The HTC Wildfire S is finally coming to the United States after having been out in Europe for a little while now. The phone will release on T-Mobile on Aug. 3rd for $79.99 on a two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
While the Wildfire S definitely falls out of the realm of top-tier Android devices, the combination of Android 2.3 Gingerbread with the popular HTC Sense UI could be tempting to a lot of people at this price. While it may not be for everyone, there is definitely enough here to tempt someone into giving Android a try, or even picking up their first smartphone.
You'll be able to pick up the HTC Wildfire S in a white finish at T-Mobile stores, and in a black finish at Walmart, Sam's Club and the T-Mobile website.
