ViewSonic announces new smartphones and tablets for MWC

ViewSonic on Friday announced a slew of new smartphones and tablets set to debut at Mobile World Congress, SlashGear reports. The company's Android-powered ViewPhone 4s looks to compete directly with Apple's iPhone, featuring a 3.5-inch 960 x 640-pixel display with 326ppi, Ice Cream Sandwich, dual SIMs, a 5-megapixel camera and a VGA font facing secondary camera. ViewSonic's two other smartphones, the 5-inch ViewPhone 5e and 3.5-inch ViewPhone 4e, will run Android 4.0, support dual-SIMs and the latter of the two will sport a 650MHz processor. In addition to the three new smartphones, ViewSonic has announced three tablets: the ViewPad G70, the E100 and P100. Read on for more.

The G70 features a 7-inch 1024 x 600-pixel capacitive IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a microSD slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera and Android 4.0. The 9.7-inch E100 tablet sports 1024 x 768-pixel resolution with IPS screen technology, Android 4.0 and a 1GHz processor. Lastly, the P100 features a 10-inch 1280 x 800-pixel IPS display with a 1.6GHz Intel N2600 dual-core processor, and it runs Windows 7.

Pricing and availability are unknown at this time, however more details will be revealed at MWC.
