During a press briefing at BlackBerry World 2012 in Orlando, Research In Motion CEO Thorsten Heins promised that RIM will launch a 4G-capable BlackBerry PlayBook later this year. The device will support LTE networks, but Heins didn't provide an exact launch date for the enhanced tablet. He did, however, say that enterprise customers will have first dibs on the 4G LTE PlayBook and that it will be offered to consumers later. Pricing, carrier partners and an exact launch date were not discussed. We're curious if this means there will be an entirely redesigned PlayBook in tandem with the launch, but that's purely speculation of course.
